Nick & Karie's Wedding in Annapolis

Nick & Karie’s wedding was a long time coming, and after having to postpone once, it was truly exciting to watch them finally say “I do”. After everyone finished getting wedding day ready, we headed to Bay Area Community Church to do a first look with Karie’s dad and a prayer between Nick and Karie before the ceremony began. We love capturing raw emotions and were not disappointed by the tears streaming down the face of Karie’s dad and Nick hyperventilating! Nick and Karie chose not to see each other before the ceremony but were able to pray together using a wall corner. Nick could hardly contain himself once holding Karie’s hand! Karie reminded him it wouldn’t be long until he would see her walk down the aisle..

Nick and Karie’s family and friends began to fill the chapel, and you could feel the anticipation. The sun was showning through the windows and creating a beautiful glow. As the ceremony began, you could see Nick was still just as nervous, and once the doors opened and Karie walked through, he was a mess! It was so sweet to see Karie calm him down as the ceremony progressed. After a short and sweet message from their officiant, Nick and Karie shared communion. Vows were exchanged, rings were put on, and everything was sealed with a kiss! They’re officially husband and wife!

Their reception took place at the trendy small plates restaurant, Levels, in downtown Annapolis. With everything planned ahead of time, the street in front of Levels was blocked off for Nick and Karie’s arrival and first dance. It was magical! We were able to capture this on drone, and the cold sparks provided by DJ Topedo really created a wow factor! After dinner, they moved into toasts and cake cutting. The night was topped off by a couple of hours dancing, including a Greek wedding tradition called “the money dance” where friends and family pinned money on Nick and Karie.
